Practical Considerations for Continual Learning

Are continual learning systems production ready? Amazon prides itself on being the most customer-centric company on earth. That means creating systems that are robust to changes in the environment, privacy preserving, and treat different subgroups fairly. Here I argue that we need to tackle the problem from both research and engineering perspectives, and outline an architecture for doing so.
